Job description

JOB TITLE:    Financial Controller
LOCATION: Swindon - Hybrid
PACKAGE:     £60-80k
WAY OF WORKING: Hybrid working
THE BUSINESS:
My client is a highly reputable and bespoke service provider.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Ensure the integrity of global financial reporting at all times, improving controls and processes where required. Motivate, develop and maintain a strong team.

Key accountabilities:
  • Day to day management of the global finance team – 5 direct reports and accounts payable team
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for the Group
  • Reporting of group results into the group and managing the finance relationship between the two entities
  • Management of the annual audit and of the preparation of statutory financial statements for the Group
  • Maintain and develop a strong system of internal controls to ensure robust financials and KPI’s across all countries
  • Manage the Tax compliance for the group (VAT/GST and Corporation tax) and future tax planning
  • Build and maintain a highly skilled Finance team, to be “fit for the future” 
  • Global overhead reporting
  • Ownership of financial governance and financial policy development and deployment
  • Owner of global balance sheet reconciliations (incl debtors & creditors)
  • Develop a continuous improvement culture within Finance to ensure we can absorb the growth plans of the business (building redundancy within the structure to support growth)
  • Working with the CFO / Group Finance Director to align the Finance function with the strategic direction of the business

Key Skills required:
  • Qualified or highly QBE
  • A strong leader and able to demonstrate a track record of excellent people management of global teams
  • Strong, assertive and process driven individual which ensures the business maintains compliance with policies and procedures
  • Ability to challenge peers and superiors in a constructive and professional manner
  • Must have high attention to detail and the ability to work accurately
  • Experience of developing and implementing processes, systems and controls
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
  • Must be highly self-motivated
  • Willing and able to travel globally
  • Excellent MS Excel skills
