JOB TITLE: Commercial Accountant
LOCATION: Staines
WAY OF WORKING: Hybrid - 3 days per week in office
SALARY: £40,000 - £50,000

THE COMMERCIAL ACCOUNTANT OPPORTUNITY:
As a strategic collaborator with our commercial functions, your role will involve leveraging your analytical skills and business insight to exert influence over stakeholders in financial decision-making. Your primary responsibility will be to support the achievement of our business objectives by furnishing and interpreting vital commercial management information.
- Act as an integral member of cross-functional Business Teams, actively contributing to the realization of in-year targets and exploring avenues for new growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to formulate business cases and model various scenarios, including the creation of innovation profit and loss statements, exploring novel promotional strategies, and assessing the impact of commodity pricing.
- Partner closely with Account Managers to develop annual customer joint business plans, identifying potential areas for business expansion and ensuring alignment with our overarching business strategy.
- Identify and analyze trends, proactively presenting key findings and recommendations to the commercial teams.
- Assume ownership of month-end variance analysis, articulating emerging trends or issues and sharing actionable insights.
- Take a lead role in delivering accurate and robust financial forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities, and presenting the forecasted outlook to senior stakeholders and broader commercial teams.
- Continuously seek opportunities to streamline and enhance the efficiency of our financial processes, actively contributing to the addition of value within the organization.
YOUR KEY SKILLS:
- Extensive experience in Commercial Business Partnering within a comparable role is essential.
- Holds a qualification as a fully Qualified (or Part Qualified) Accountant with a professional certification such as CIMA or ACCA.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, showcasing a proven ability to establish and cultivate relationships while communicating effectively across all levels and functions within an organization.
- Ideally possesses experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
- Capable of collaborative work within a team environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Advantageous experience with Power BI.
- Demonstrates the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Advocates and embodies a culture of continuous improvement.
