JOB TITLE:                                       INDUSTRIAL ELECTRIAN

LOCATION:                                     Gloucester

SALARY:                                          £38,257 

WAY OF WORKING:                     8am – 5pm – No Shift

THE INDYSTRIAL ELECTRICAN OPPORTUNITY:  
  • Install, maintain, and test electrical equipment and appliances according to safety standards.
  • Conduct diagnostic repairs and planned maintenance tasks on plant, equipment, and electrical systems to ensure efficient operation.
  • Identify faults and carry out repairs on faulty electrical plant and equipment.
  • Provide technical assistance to maintenance staff and engineers engaged in research, development, design, and application.
  • Liaise with manufacturer maintenance sub-contractors.
  • Enthusiastically support the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Undertake and provide support for some mechanical maintenance activities.
  • Identify areas for improvement and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure high-quality service provision.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety and security procedures and guidelines.
YOUR KEY SKILLS: 
  • Time served Electrical Modern Apprenticeship with previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in using a variety of hand tools and equipment and reading, following, and modifying electrical schematic drawings.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety standards including COSHH, DSEAR, Lock off & Isolation.
  • Familiar with Safran company procedures and policies and committed to adhering to them.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge to install and repair electrical systems using proven techniques.
  • Strong numeracy and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of 17th (or 18th) edition of the IEE Regulations.
  • Familiarity with PLCs would be advantageous.
