THE DATA ENGINEER OPPORTUNITY:

• Design and maintain Azure SQL/Synapse metadata framework for Data Engineering support.
• Develop and automate Azure Synapse pipelines, focusing on audit capture, error handling, and exception handling.
• Ensure adherence to Data Engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts to clarify data mappings/rules and with Business Analysts for data transformation logic/business rules.
• Create and update Technical Specifications.
• Support data extraction from Legacy systems and contribute to data migration to Azure Synapse.

• Proficient in SQL Server (TSQL) with experience in SQL Server 2012 and above.
• Strong background in Agile working methodologies.
• Familiarity with Cloud services, preferably Microsoft Azure (Desirable).
• Solid expertise in SSIS, SSRS, and TSQL.
• Fundamental understanding of data modeling.
• Competency in Power BI.
• In-depth knowledge of Data Warehouse and Report Layer design.
