JOB TITLE:                                      Senior IT Technician

LOCATION:                                    Wiltshire

SALARY:                                          £29,557 - £32,363Per Annum

WAY OF WORKING:                     Full Time/On-Site Monday – Thursday 8.00am – 4.00pm Friday 8.00am – 3.30pm

THE SENIOR IT TECHNICIAN OPPORTUNITY:

• Provide technical support and serve as a point of contact for the College and supported sites.
• Respond to helpdesk queries
• Conduct scheduled visits to support sites.
• Complete basic maintenance and troubleshooting on servers.
• Ensure effective communication between the department and supported sites, escalating issues as necessary.
• Take responsibility for assigned projects, managing tasks to completion.
• Maintain sites through regular maintenance tasks and coordination with third parties.
• Provide in-class support to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and facilities.
• Monitor, maintain, and update systems according to established procedures.
• Keep IT policies and procedures up to date and ensure compliance.
• Mentor and support IT technicians.

YOUR KEY SKILLS:

• Technical working knowledge of: Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022, Windows 10, Office 2019
• Technical working knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and software, including wireless networking
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Full Driving Licence
