JOB TITLE:                                       SYSTEMS ANALYST

LOCATION:                                     Gloucester

SALARY:                                         £35,000

WAY OF WORKING:                     8am – 5pm

THE INDYSTRIAL ELECTRICAN OPPORTUNITY:

Assist with IS Technical Projects:
Collaborate with the project team to ensure successful completion of assigned projects.
Responsible for preparing the necessary technical documentation for each project.
Support the development of project proposals and provide regular updates to the PMO and IS Management.
Build and Maintain Server Infrastructure:
Configure and maintain Windows Enterprise servers, including the installation of operating systems and services for both Windows and Linux.
Ensure compliance with all security regulations and standards during the build process.
Build physical rack servers and create VMware servers.
Provide Technical Support and Administration:
Provide L2 and L3 support for IS infrastructure, systems, and platforms.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems of servers, middleware, and database systems, recommend improvements to avoid re-occurrence of the same problem.
Contribute to the maintenance and administration of data centre hardware, performing changes, support, and decommissioning of local physical and VM servers when requested.
Assist in the administration of Unix/Linux systems.
Develop scripts to automate daily administrative tasks and customized scripts for resolving incidents and problems to prevent recurrence.
Participate in the on-call rotation with other IS personnel.

Working knowledge of various Windows Server Operating systems.
System administration of Linux, including patching and packaging.
Experience in various IT/IS disciplines, technologies, and platforms (Infrastructure, databases and mobility).
Knowledge of aerospace business.
Application of structured transformation / change / project ways of working in fluid / fast changing situations (i.e. not just program managing somewhere that is already very structured).
Time Management skills.
Skill in Microsoft Office product suite, including PowerPoint, Excel & Word.
Working knowledge of VMWare, NetApp and Citrix.
Experience with Monitoring tool solutions.
ITIL Foundations, Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or similar (preferred).
Knowledge of French Language is a plus.
