JOB TITLE:                                  Inspection Engineer

LOCATION:                                 Gloucestershire

SALARY:                                       £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
25 days holiday + UK Bank Holidays | Shares and profit share bonus scheme | Development and Training at company University | Company Sponsored external training | subsidised canteen

WAY OF WORKING:                Full Time | Monday – Friday | Site Based

The Inspection Engineer will be joining the manufacturing engineering team. This role will be working closely with the engineering, production, and quality teams.

THE INSPECTION ENGINEER OPPORTUNITY:
  • Producing required inspection control plans and ensuing Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs to support new derivative and existing projects.
  • Supporting NPI and new product operations; adhering to PPAP process.
  • Leading projects for process improvements and cost reductions through lean manufacturing focussing on product quality, labour/assets efficiency and production lead-time.
  • Assisting with the commissioning of new production assets.
  • Producing PPAP & APQP documents.
  • Participating in design and industrialisation reviews throughout each phase of the product introduction process; implementing improvements suggestions, as required.
YOUR KEY SKILLS:
  • Experience from a Manufacturing or Engineering background
  • HNC or HND in related engineering discipline/Degree level in Engineering discipline or equivalent 
  • Experience of programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) – (Modus/CAMIO Studio/Virtual SMIS advantageous)
  • Exposure to Lean manufacturing (Green belt would be ideal)
  • Capability to write clear and accurate technical reports.
  • Knowledge of HSE and ergonomic requirements.
