Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Dorset | Hybrid working
Package: Up to £50k annual salary.

We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Network Engineer to join a team of dedicated professionals. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on three distinct networks, each serving different purposes. This role offers a blend of project work, advising customers, and hands-on network implementation. From Firewall equipment from vendors like Cisco, FortiGate, and Meraki to upcoming Wi-Fi projects and server-side integration, this role offers a mix of technical challenges and creative problem solving.
 
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand network requirements, identify opportunities for updates, replacements or redesigns.
  • Take a hands on approach in configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting modern firewall equipment from various vendors
  • Participate in a new Wi-Fi project, liaising with suppliers and assisting with third-party relationships to provide Valuable Advice.
  • Engage with customers, presenting options and creatively steering them towards solutions.
  • Contribute to the ongoing reconfiguration of spaces and the deployment of new equipment in newly constructed buildings.
  • Work closely with colleagues, including the junior network engineer, SCCM expert, VMware and Servers specialist, Lead Network Engineer and Platforms export.
  • Mentor Junior team members, providing guidance and support to aid their professional growth.
  • Participate in design work for upcoming projects ensuring seamless integrations with existing network infrastructure.

Qualifications
  • Security Clearance or to be eligible for it
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer, Preferably within an MSP or Similar environment.
  • Strong Hands-on experience with firewall equipment, including Cisco, FortiGate and Meraki.
  • Proficiency in config and troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies.
  • Familiarity with Wi-Fi network deployment and management.
  • Excellent communications skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing network challenges.
